Birth of a blog

i work best when inspired to do something. So it was with the birth of this weblog. I caught on to this phenom last month but boy was i hooked! The blogs i read regularly over the past few weeks are(in alphabetic order ;)) :

Anvita Singh
Da Freak
Davenet
Gorgeous
Steven B. Johnson

As you can tell, these are mostly about computing/technology and ordinary people's lives- the former is my profession and the latter is pure joy. One is a peek to the future, the other is the living present - both are captivating in their unique ways. The common thread is that there is nothing ordinary in the way these wonderful people write. I guess people do it for different reasons ranging from the stubbornly altruistic to the absurdly egotistic - but the best blogs are written with refreshing candor and true passion. You go away with a slice of the pie that is humanity. I was truly inspired reading the above authors to start 'the runaway blog'(TRB). My heartfelt thanks to each one of them.

There are a zillion great blogs i dont know about yet or that i may never get to reading, but please let me know if you think i should read something, dont hold back!

And TRB will chronicle my 'inspired follies'(credits to G.B. Shaw) - in my life there seems to be no difficulty in finding them :).

Cheers.

I'm blogging!

After a nice little vacation and a little break from Quesera.org, i have managed to publish this first post via Blogger.com. Which brings a random thought to mind. What seemed like a mountain a few weeks ago with setting up quesera.org is now a mole hill. Feels a lot like walking on water. It's easy if you know where the stones are. Thanks to some great technology and wonderful people who spent invaluable hours contributing to the open-source movement, it was relatively easy for me to find the stones. I salute each and everyone of them.

Which leads me to my next effort for folks who want to do something similar. My plan is to create a roadmap of processes, tools and resources on Quesera.org that will help people to set up websites with maximum productivity & least aggravation especially for people who are intimidated by technology. Hopefully this should happen within a few weeks. Meantime, shout back and let me know what you think!
